The language that I am most familiar with is Java, which is an object-oriented programming language. I did take a Linux Assembler class, which does not contain OOP. It was very difficult at first, as it is a completely different way of programming. So far, I have only used programming inside the classroom but hope to get an internship and/or job soon in which I can use my skills.
I do not have any experience with UML diagrams before, so I am interested to learn about them and create them in this class.
One of the main parts of this class is the readings, which are very long and hard for me to get through. Also, I feel that I can't being the programming assignment until I have completed reading all of the material, which delays me. The textbook, however, is very clear and once I read it, I feel confident to tackle the material. The current module's chapters focused on classes and methods, including constructors, mutators, and accessory, which was a great review for me. This week, due to the COVID-19 situation, it has been a very difficult week as I have been transitioning to working remotely and dealing with the panic and anxiety that has gripped the country. I may hand in my programming assignment a bit late and I hope the professor will understand.
