This week we started learning how to get data from Web APIs and incorporate the information into our sites. Using a fetch call, data can be returned as an object and retrieved by name. The lab guided us to make a signup page to obtain users' personal information to create an account. The user enters in his/her name and zip code, and based on that the site displays the corresponding city, latitude, and longitude. When users select a state, a list of counties from that state is available. Lastly, the account information is validated by preventing form submission if the username isn't available or if the password is too short or doesn't match the "password again" field. This lab was very interesting and I learned a lot. Here is the link to the site: https://yoza20-lab3.herokuapp.com/

For the homework assignment, I used the BehindTheName API to create a website called myname.com. Users can enter any name to have more information displayed about the name including gender and different usages. Here is the link to the site: https://yoza20-hw3.herokuapp.com/
