This week, there were a lot of videos to watch that introduced JavaScript. We learnt about arrays, objects, and functions which all can be used to make dynamic, useful web pages. In lab 2, we were guided in creating a web page that contained a US Geography Quiz. Users can answer questions by clicking buttons, checking off checkboxes, and typing their input. Upon the submit button being pressed, the quiz is graded and score displayed. This lab was very interesting and taught me a lot about Javascript and having user input. For homework 2, we were tasked to create our own web page and use Javascript. The options included a slot machine, hangman, and an e-commerce site, as well as any other ideas. I chose to create an e-commerce site that sells jewellery. Since watching this week's content videos took up much of my time, I started on this late and had a very difficult time. My aim is to have the subtotal, tax, shipping, and total fields update as users add items to the cart, but I am still working on this functionality. I have a meeting with the TA tonight, so I hope I will receive the help I need to complete the site, learn something new, and continue with the coursework for the next week.
