This week I didn't do any service hours as I completed my requirement of 25 last week! I sent an email to my site supervisor to approve my hours as well as complete the student evaluation. I am also looking out for an email to complete an evaluation of my site, Hatzolah of Los Angeles.
We read about different ideas about service and whether it is harmful or helpful. It was very interesting to delve into the different perspectives. Then we incorporated these ideas and reflected on our service experience in the discussion forum. For the research paper, we wrote the last parts: the conclusion and recommendations. I think it was very helpful that the paper was split up into manageable portions each week. I am confident with the outcome of my team's research paper and am very happy that my group worked so well together.
In the design class, we read about iteration in design, as well as defined wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Iteration allows the designers to test and improve their designs based on the users, as they are the primary ones the design is intended for. I really liked a quote from the article, "Great design is an iteration of good design" (https://www.interaction-design.org/literature/article/design-iteration-brings-powerful-results-so-do-it-again-designer). The optional readings shed more light on the distinctions between the different steps of the design process. Wireframe refers to the structure, mockups to the appearance, and prototypes to the functionality. We were instructed to create iterations of our design and finish creating the required 5 screens. Here is my work:

Additionally, we created a prototype of our design. View it here: https://xd.adobe.com/view/8afc4dba-7717-45d1-861a-2aa38813c7e6-dfaf/?fullscreen. You can also watch a video of the app below.
