This is the last week of our Intro to Data Science course! Firstly, we finished off learning about decision trees. We also finished and submitted our final project. Overall, we found that student alcohol consumption was not a good predictor of academic achievement.

The conclusion of our project was as follows: From the graphs, RMSE, and R2 values, alcohol consumption is not a good indicator of a student's success. However, the dataset we used is limited to only the Portuguese students of two schools, so the accuracy of our model is also limited. If we used a larger dataset that spanned cross-country and surveyed older teens and adults, the result would be more interesting.

Lastly, we submitted a peer review of our teammates (which was all positive, because I think we have a great team) and completed Quiz 3 which covered topics in machine learning and system/feature design and engineering.

I really enjoyed this class! It was fascinating to be able to see the data come alive through visualizations that give over a lot of information in a simple and clear way. Professor Memo is a great professor who explains everything clearly, is very knowledgeable and is also very passionate about his subject matter which I really appreciate as a student. Overall, this class was a very positive experience and I learned a lot!
